How to find music for podcasting

Looking for music for your podcast? Just because you  find a song online you’d like to use, doesn’t mean you have the rights to use it in your podcast. Music, like pictures, is subject to copyright too.

So what’s the solution?

Podsafe  is a term created in the podcasting community to refer to any work which, through its licensing, specifically allows the use of the work in podcasting, regardless of restrictions the same work might have in other realms. The creators of the works are not relinquishing their ownership or copyright, but giving you the right or license to be able to use the work, under certain conditions. These are generally assumed to be that your podcast is noncommercial and that you give credit back to the artist (usually a link back to the artist’s site).
